Students of the UTCAM win gold medal and accreditation to INFOMATRIX Latin America XII to be held from the 11th to the 14th of March in ZAPOPAN JALISCO.
On January 25th and 26th was held at the Higher Technological Institute of the south of Yucatán in the municipality of Oxkutzcab, the event "Peninsula Multimedia Project" in its 12th edition, this being the regional headquarters that covers the states of Yucatán , Campeche and Quintana Roo, said Eng. Juan Carlos Vera Pérez, Director of the renewable energies career.
Multimedia project serves as a platform where students of different levels of education can expose their projects in the different categories covered by the event and thus be able to earn an accreditation to the continental final of INFOMATRIX.
Attending as representatives of the Technological University of Campeche, of the career of engineering in renewable energies, the students Yair Alfonso Tejero Marín and Fabián Alberto Benítez López with the representation of his companions Citlalit Guadalupe Zavala Domínguez and Diana Isabel Jiménez Luna, all of them advised by the M. Felipe de Jesús Cabrera Armas, presented the project "didactic strategy for the saving and care of the electric energy" which was credited to a gold recognition with which they obtained Accreditation to the event INFOMATRIX Latin America in its twelfth edition to be held from the 11th to the 14th of March at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in the city of Zapopan, Jalisco.
This project consists of a didactic game designed for educational purposes for young people of basic and upper middle level on topics of energy saving and the care of the same; As well as awareness of the misuse of electricity.
Given that most people learn more quickly with practice, the team decided to create the "educational strategy for saving and caring for electricity." Which was based on learning theories such as game based learning theory and color psychology to get the attention of participants and to be interested in it to learn in an easy and fun technical issues and in Training.
This project aims to teach in a more entertaining way the good uses of energy and thus promote education from an early age and with this in the future to help the environment.
